Work History & Leadership:

Dr. Kurt Mueller is a board-certified psychiatrist whose clinical practice combines thorough evaluation, medication management, psychotherapy, and a focus upon improving lifestyle behaviors including exercise, diet, sleep, mindfulness, and relational intelligence. After completing medical school at the University of California San Francisco and his psychiatric residency at Stanford, he relocated with his family to Flagstaff in 1997 and established his private practice. For over 25 years, he has collaborated with a small number of Flagstaff-based psychiatrists and mental health clinicians to provide outpatient mental health services to our community. He recently joined North Country HealthCare as Program Director to help plan and establish a new psychiatric residency training program based in Flagstaff. This program will address the region’s long-standing shortage of psychiatric physicians, fulfilling a critical community need.
