Virtual Visits

Many people in rural or isolated communities face challenges in getting the healthcare they need. At North Country HeathCare we utilizes audio/video technologies to link healthcare providers, patients, educators and community members to a comprehensive continuum of care in order to reduce this isolation. These video-based appointments are completed from the privacy of your home using your smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop.

Types of appointments that can be completed virtually:

  • Behavioral health
  • Chronic condition management (diabetes, hypertension, asthma)
  • Chronic pain evaluation & follow-up
  • Dental screenings & consultations
  • HIV/AIDS
  • Hepatitis C
  • Illness evaluation (sick visit)
  • Medication refills
  • Medicare Annual Wellness Visit
  • Pain Management
  • Primary Care
  • Review lab & test results
  • Routine follow-up

If you’re interested in converting your upcoming appointment to a virtual visit, please contact your local North Country HealthCare to see if your visit can be completed virtually.

Your visit will be billed to your health insurance, like a regular doctor visit. If you are uninsured, North Country HealthCare offers a sliding fee scale, which would allow you to pay a nominal fee for your appointment.

You must have a desktop computer, laptop, smartphone or tablet AND the following to schedule a virtual visit:

  • Stable Internet Connection – broadband wired or wireless, or cellular (3G or 4G/LTE).
  • Speakers and a microphone – built-in or USB plug-in or wireless Bluetooth technology (you can also use your phone to call into the meeting for audio)
  • A webcam* – built-in or USB plug-in

*If you are unable to connect to the video portion, your appointment will be canceled.

Once your appointment has been scheduled, we will send you an email with visit connection instructions and any necessary forms to complete. If you have questions, please contact your local North Country HealthCare.
