Voluntary Recall of Trividia Glucometer Test Strips

August 1, 2016

Dear patients,

North Country HealthCare Pharmacy is committed to our patients’ health and well-being. We are sending this letter to inform you of a voluntary recall of glucometer test strips manufactured by Trividia. The recalled test strips were distributed in the United States and are from specific lots of TRUEread, TRUEbalance, TRUEtrack and TRUEtest.

Trividia has determined that specific lots of blood glucose test strips, packaged between April and July of 2015, may have included vials that were not sealed correctly which can affect test strip performance. Trividia has stated that they have not received any reports of patient injuries related to the voluntary recall.

North Country HealthCare Pharmacy does not have any affected products on our shelf at this time. It is still possible that you could have received an affected lot elsewhere. If you would like to check if your current package of test strips are among the lots that may have been affected, please call us at 928.522.9403 or visit the Trividia website

If your current vial is on the recall list, please stop using the strips immediately and contact the pharmacy for further instruction. Do not be concerned if you used an affected lot in the past. We apologize for any inconvenience this recall may cause you.

Thank you,

Kimberly Chen
