Today we are rolling the first video in our series of ten short videos that explain all about North Country HealthCare. The first video focuses on who we are and who we care for. Check it out!
North Country HealthCare is a community health center. Community health centers keep communities healthy. We care for those who are very sick, not so sick, and those who aren’t sick at all. We help people stay healthy!
North Country HealthCare is the primary community health center in the area. In 1991, a small group of doctors and nurses, health and human service representatives and consumers established the Flagstaff Community Free Clinic. In 1996, the clinic transitioned from a volunteer organization into a state and federally funded community health center. Now serving 14 communities across northern Arizona, North Country HealthCare offers a variety of services such as family medicine; pediatrics; obstetrics and gynecology; dental care; behavioral health services; telemedicine; health screenings; and more.
North Country HealthCare also boasts a number of community programs that promote health and wellbeing among numerous populations in the regions we serve. These programs focus on many areas, from diabetes management, to assistance for expecting moms and dads, to care for survivors of sexual assault, to free help enrolling in health insurance. North Country HealthCare team members also work closely with other community programs to connect our patients to services that help them live healthier lives.
The mission of North Country HealthCare is to provide affordable, accessible, quality primary care in an atmosphere of dignity and respect where the health and well-being of patients and community are promoted through direct services, education, outreach, and advocacy.
