North Country’s dental team educates patients where they are – in the clinic or out in the community. Many people may not realize that tooth decay is the most common chronic disease among children. Tooth decay is an infectious, transmissible disease caused by bacteria on the teeth, which creates acid and erodes enamel. It is a serious issue and is entirely preventable. Roxana Contreras Cardiel Awarded Key to the City

Roxana Contreras Cardiel was awarded a Key to the City by former Flagstaff mayor Coral Evans. In 2014 Roxana Contreras Cardiel was walking into the living room of a Flagstaff resident, discussing ways to improve the health and wellbeing of those living in her neighborhood. Roxana was doing her work as a community health worker with Hermosa Vida, a North Country HealthCare program created to address health inequality in Flagstaff. AZ Bill Bolsters New Family & Community Medicine Residency

AZ House Bill 2392 will pump much-needed funding into residency programs across the state. Earlier this year Governor Doug Ducey signed AZ House Bill 2392 to provide much-needed funding for community health centers that sponsor graduate medical education (GME) programs. As a community health center and sponsoring institution of a graduate medical education program, North Country HealthCare will be greatly impacted by the new legislation. Need Insurance? The Health Insurance Marketplace is Now Open

The Health Insurance Marketplace, or healthcare.gov, will be open for a Special Enrollment Period February 15 through August 15. North Country HealthCare has application counselors at all of their locations to help individuals and families enroll in affordable coverage.
