About:
Megan Skeet graduated from ASU’s pediatric nurse practitioner program in 2020. While in school, she focused on her clinical and didactic work on rural and medically underserved pediatric communities. Megan is passionate about ensuring access and providing healthcare to all children, and has a special interest in social determinants of health and how they impact the overall health of children and families.
Megan is also passionate about health advocacy in pediatric medicine. In 2019, she was one of 5 individuals selected nationally as a health advocacy scholar by the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. Megan was sent to Washington DC to meet with members of Congress to discuss important issues in pediatric healthcare including ensuring healthcare access for migrant children and families, equitable vaccine distribution, and gender informed care. She also currently serves as the Legislative Chair for the Arizona Chapter of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners.
In her free time, Megan is loving life as a mom to her son and she enjoys gardening, cooking, outdoor excursions with the family including their dog, Sihaya.
