About:

After graduating from the University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work in 2008, Alison Shepherd, LCSW, worked in community behavioral health agencies providing a variety of in-home and outpatient behavioral health services. In 2013, she started as a Behavioral Health Consultant in Denver, CO and has become a strong advocate of bringing together physical and behavioral health services in primary care. She has over ten years of experience in providing integrated behavioral services in primary care settings, specifically in Federally Qualified Health Clinics in Colorado and Arizona. She is committed to bringing high quality care to historically underserved population groups. Her passion for providing care is helping people understand the mind-body connection and how they can manage and improve their health through self-care, active engagement with their medical care team, and health behavior changes.
