The funds provided by Delta Dental of Arizona will be used for primary care services. Community health centers across Arizona are on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic to provide care for underserved and uninsured populations. As a healthcare partner and the largest dental benefits provider in the state, Delta Dental of Arizona continually reinforces the connection between oral health and overall health. To help support these patients in this unprecedented time, Delta Dental of Arizona, through its foundation, is donating $500,000 to the 23 federally qualified health centers (FQHCs) across the state. North Country HealthCare Launches Virtual Appointments

North Country HealthCare is now offering virtual visits – allowing patients to receive care from the comfort of their home. North Country HealthCare has launched virtual healthcare appointments, as a response to the coronavirus pandemic. Individuals who are experiencing flu-like symptoms will use North Country HealthCare’s online symptom checker tool to indicate what symptoms they are currently experiencing. They can then request a 15-minute, online appointment with a North Country HealthCare provider by calling the hotline number provided after they complete the symptom checker tool. HRSA Announces It Will Fund Family Medicine Residency Program

Residents will be trained at North Country HealthCare’s Flagstaff – 4th Street location, as well as throughout northern Arizona. North Country HealthCare received notice last week that the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) will fund its family medicine residency program, in the amount of $5.4 million over four years, providing vital funds to sustain the residency program. North Country HealthCare’s residency program will begin training four residents in July 2020. HRSA’s funding will come from their Teaching Health Center Graduate Medical Education (THCGME) program. North Country HealthCare’s new Program Eligibility Tool is a free resource to help the community find out what assistance programs they may qualify for. North Country HealthCare just launched its new program eligibility tool, which allows anyone to easily pre-screen their eligibility for assistance programs offered by North Country HealthCare and various state and federal programs.
