Travis Reber is one of very few podiatrists in northern Arizona who accepts patients regardless of how they pay.
He and his father see patients from as far as Cottonwood who are covered by government insurance for the poor, or have private insurance, or pay out of pocket. AHCCCS (or Medicaid) pays the doctors the least and requires the most paperwork and phone calls before patients can be seen, Reber says.
And that is mostly acceptable to Reber, but not to all in the medical field here.
